Auto Product Lead, Program Governance
The Auto Product Lead, Program Governance owns how Product requirements are defined, maintained,
governed, and traced across the Frontier Auto Milestones. This role focuses on requirements stewardship in JAMA, the Elaboration Schedule and Executive Program Plan, ensures traceability into Jira/EPP, and partners with the Transformation Office Governance Lead to make product artifacts a reliable source of truth for leadership, engineering, and cross-functional partners. In addition, this role serves as the primary liaison between Program Management and the Auto Program Delivery & Enhancements (PDE) Build team: partnering with PDE to carry franchise-level requirements through refinement and decomposition into deployment-ready requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Requirements stewardship and traceability
- Own the lifecycle of product requirements in JAMA and the Elaboration Schedule: templates, naming, fields, versioning, and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, Jira/EPP work items, test cases, and program decisions.
- Operate review/approval gates and change control for requirements tied to milestone readiness.
- Partner with PDE to decompose franchise requirements into implementation-ready state requirements
- Process governance & quality assurance
- Align product requirement practices with program governance (decision workflows, change control).
- Enforce requirement hygiene (clarity, testability, coverage) and act as the quality gate before artifacts are used in leadership reviews.
- Drive continuous improvements and escalate risks or inconsistencies as needed
- Define and operate handoff and acceptance gates between Program Management and PDE Build
- Content governance & reporting
- Define information architecture and standards across JAMA, the Elaboration Schedule, Confluence, and program repositories.
- Own requirement-related dashboards and reports that surface status, coverage, and changes for stakeholders.
- Ensure artifacts are discoverable, current, and integrated with program governance materials.
- Program coordination
- Oversight of requirements documentation and JAMA administration; provide guidance to Program Managers contributing to requirements.
- Set team routines, priorities, and quality expectations to meet program timelines.
- Coordinate with PDE on state sequencing and rollouts
- Cross-functional influence &communication
- Liaise with Frontier leadership,
- Domain teams, Engineering, and PDE Build to keep requirements aligned with design, technical constraints, and risks.
- Produce concise senior-level materials (decks, one-pagers, FAQs) and communicate requirement changes through program channels.
- Facilitate adoption of consistent requirement and traceability practices across partners and ensure PDE Build has the information and artifacts needed to execute.
• JAMA, the Frontier Elaboration Schedule and Executive Program Plan are the authoritative, up-to-date sources for product requirements.
• Clear, maintained traceability from requirements to Jira/EPP; fewer orphaned or conflicting items.
• Franchise requirements are consistently carried to a deployment-ready state for PDE with fewer
clarifications or rework during implementation.
• Improved milestone readiness and reduced requirement-related rework and deployment delays.
• High-quality, timely deliverables from analysts and PMs that align to governance standards.
• Program leadership treats product artifacts and reporting as reliable inputs for decisions.
• Smooth, measurable handoffs to PDE
Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field
- Minimum 6 years relevant work experience, typically 8 years
- PhD or equivalent research beneficial
- Expert skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e g, SAS, Emblem)
- Must have exceptional planning, analytical, decision making, communication, and project management skills
- Experience managing projects preferred

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
