The GEOAxIS system provides Identity, Credential and Access Management for all web applications. GEOAxIS enables online, on-demand, access to NGA GEOINT content based on user's authoritative attributes/roles. Our Mission is to maintain highly available ICAM services for protecting those critical mission applications across all security domains. The GxNext contract was awarded to Leidos in 2021 and runs until 2031.

GEOAxIS is beginning a modernization effort to migrate the existing ICAM system from legacy COTS products and deployment practices to a state-of-the-art system using modern vendor and open-source technology. The technical lead role will work closely with program management to ensure that larger modernization effort meets the needs of the customer, reduces operational overhead, and allows for future innovation in both systems engineering and software development. This position will be responsible for ensuring a DevOps team and Software team can work together during this critical migration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive the migration of the GEOAxIS ICAM system from legacy COTS products to modern, vendor and open-source technologies.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between the DevOps and Software Development teams during the modernization effort.
  • Work closely with program management to align technical activities with customer needs and mission objectives.
  • Guide the design and engineering of a scalable, secure, and future-ready ICAM architecture.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure that modernization efforts reduce operational overhead and improve maintainability.
  • Promote opportunities for future innovation in both systems engineering and software development practices.
  • Responsible for ensuring the team is making progress against its Program Increment commitments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a Masters degree in STEM technologies and at least 10 years experience or a Bachelors degree and at least 12 years experience.
  • Requires a TS/SCI with Poly to be considered.
  • Experience working as a Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer or Product Owner
  • Significant experience providing technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
  • Experience leading teams through the delivery of capabilities (software development or infrastructure modernization) using agile methodologies.
  • Significant experience establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives.
  • Ability to achieve Security+ within 60 days or hire

  • Experience with Kubernetes or Openshift
  • Experience with programming languages such as java, python, or nodejs
  • Experience with GitOps technologies (ArgoCD, FluxCD, etc)
  • Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or Linux
  • Experience with X509 certificate authentication, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, or LDAP
  • Experience with PingIdentity products

Pay Range:

Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
