Sr. Workplace Relations Consultant
Description
We are seeking a customer-focused, highly motivated Sr. Workplace Relations Consultant to join our Workforce Solutions Center of Excellence within our Corporate Human Resources team. The position reports to the Director of Workforce Solutions and will be responsible for providing guidance and consultation to HR professionals, managers and other internal stakeholders on critical employee relations issues. Primary areas of responsibility include reviewing concerns/complaints related to workplace relations and ethics concerns, provide advice and counsel on complex employee relations issues, review and provide risk assessment on involuntary separations, etc. In addition, the Sr. WR Consultant will provide support, resources and tools to enable HR and line management to more independently address basic employee relations and performance management matters.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide guidance to line HR on complex performance management concerns, ADA accommodation requests, fitness for duty and EAP referrals, reasonable suspicion, USERRA and military
- Review and identify risks for involuntary terminations including layoffs (conduct WARN analysis and provide guidance and direction as needed)
- Work with in house legal counsel and other internal stakeholders to partner and collaborate with HR Professionals and managers on complex employee relations issues
- Identify WR issues and trends; positively influence and consult with HR and managers to provide risk-reducing solutions.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 12+ years of progressive HR experience; including significant experience in workplace relations.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, as well as oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate and relate to diverse constituencies.
- Proven track record of partnering with legal, line management and HR leaders on workplace relations matters.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws employment laws and government regulations, as well interpretation and administration of policies and procedures.
- Flexibility, adaptability and ability to work under pressure.
- Earns the confidence and trust of others, delivers on commitments, demonstrates high standards of ethical conduct, and protects confidential information.
- Investigation and resolution of complex workplace relations cases; exposure to external claims (i.e. EEOC, litigation, mediation, arbitration, etc.).
- Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team environment.
- Strong analysis skills in order to interpret data necessary to identify trends and areas of risk.
- Ability to use diplomacy and tact in confrontational situations.
- Excellent conflict resolution and negotiations skills.
- Strong planning and organization skills, as well as attending to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
