Position Summary:
The Information System Security Officer (ISSO)/System Engineer is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems. This role involves implementing and maintaining security policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with federal and organizational cybersecurity standards. Our ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, experience with security tools, technologies, and excellent communication skills to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports IA programs through RMF, NISCAP, STE/STN, LATTEART, BISCOTTI, and XACTA compliance; manages SSPs, risk assessments, and C&A documentation to ensure secure system operations.
- Leads full lifecycle engineering from requirements derivation to design, integration, verification, and sustainment; ensures alignment with DoDAF and SOA architectures and maintains system baseline integrity.
- Prepares and reviews SSPs, SRTMs, and C&A packages; evaluates security solutions and manages configuration changes to maintain operational security posture.
- Oversees CM for security software, hardware, and firmware; assesses security impact of system changes and coordinates cross-discipline resolutions via CCBs and design reviews.
- Experienced in Linux/Windows system administration, RF system configuration, FORNSAT, Tactical SIGINT, and data flow analysis within collection environments.
- Skilled in network administration and coordinating system integration across multiple teams to ensure complete interface coverage and technical cohesion.
- Conducts quantitative assessments in reliability, survivability, and vulnerability; defines verification methods and evaluation criteria to ensure system effectiveness and mission readiness.
Qualifications:
- Fourteen (14) years' of Information Security experience supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering (SE), Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAM Level I is required.
- Security Clearance requirement: Must possess active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
