Leidos is seeking a Senior System Integration & Test Engineer who will be a member of a dynamic team who will be working on the SkyLine KN-2 program. SkyLine is Leidos' Air Traffic Management solution for the international markets. It improves air traffic flow management from takeoff to landing, dynamically adjusting journeys in the air to make air traffic flow faster, safer, and more environmentally friendly. Built from the best components of proven, globally deployed air traffic management technologies and enhanced by next generation features co-developed in partnership with Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP) and technology providers, SkyLine-X™ offers greater flexibility and capabilities than any other air traffic management solution on the market. With its unique portfolio of automation, surveillance, navigation, and landing solutions - backed by Leidos' extensive cyber, analytics, and technology expertise -SkyLine-X™ sets new standards for air traffic performance, efficiency, and safety. SkyLine-X KN-2 program is providing Air Traffic Management solution to our customers in Kazakhstan.

Primary Responsibilities:

Working both as a member of a team and independently the successful candidate will:

Optimizing the experience for the flying public, Air Traffic Control, and the airline industry by improving the collaboration and decision-making capabilities of flight controllers

Identify functional, usability and performance deficiencies and provide recommendations for improvements

Collaborate on developing and coordinating operationally relevant test strategies and evaluation test procedures

Define and develop Test processes and procedures in support of functional and system testing within fast paced development environment

Produce Test Evaluation Reports, Status Reports for active build testing and provide inputs to Test & Evaluation Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Test Procedures, Test Readiness Reviews, and Final Test Reports

Able to integrate complex software with little to no outside support

Debug system level issues and provide detailed supporting data on identified issues

Able to understand System Level Requirements

Developing and maintaining test approaches and procedures derived from requirements

Analyze identified issues in conjunction with System Engineering and Software in regard to developing solutions

Support test and requirement verification & validation

Learning system architecture, design, functions and capabilities to support the integration and test of the new capabilities and enhancements.

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Executing tests manually in the Physical Lab and Virtual Test Lab (VTL)

Perform formal test execution with the customer and quality assurance organizations

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors' Degree with 8 years of applicable experience or Master's Degree with 6 years of experience.

Experience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process

Experience in the use of UNIX and Linux operating systems & containers

Experience in software so they can read and debug logs

Strong integration skills with hands-on experience integrating large software complex systems

Strong communication skills to interface with internal and external customers

Experience with Ansible for software installation

Regression testing

Data Reduction & Analysis

Analyzing identified issues and helping to determine a solution with System Engineering and Software Engineering

Problem Determination

A good academic understanding and/or exposure to system engineering practices to contribute to and/or assist with system integration, requirements engineering, operational and decision analysis, systems definition, requirements baseline control and management.

Highly organized, demonstrating the ability to work independently at times due to fast-paced and highly productive work environment

Air Traffic Knowledge and experience working on Air Traffic programs

Experience with conducting formal test with a customer

Experience with computer networking is a plus

Pay Range:

Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
