Supervisor - Shipping and Sample Management

Labcorp is seeking to hire a Supervisor to join the Shipping and Sample Management team at our site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing, scheduling and coordinating proactively and in conjunction with other groups or departments the daily activities of the group and liaising with other groups, sections and departments as appropriate
- Assuring appropriate communication within the group, particularly for dissemination of information
- Understanding and interpreting study plans and identifying problems resulting from the study plan or during study conduct and taking appropriate action
- Optimizing existing and developing new techniques, methods for study conduct or non-study specific areas and supporting their application
- Planning, organizing and participating in meetings
- Ensuring maintenance of instruments and equipment is performed (i.e. maintenance, validation and calibration)
- Providing support, training and guidance for less experienced staff

Additional Job Standards:
- Extensive logistics / shipping experience or sample management / warehouse experience
- Prior line management or training experience preferred
- Computer proficiency, including word processing and use of spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Office packages and Microsoft Project)
