Study Technician

Labcorp is seeking a Study Technician to join our team in Shanghai, China

Job Responsibilities:

Reviews data to assure quality standards are met and to verify compliance to applicable SOP and regulatory requirements.

Maintains and expands knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g. GLPs), SOP requirements, and other guidance documents. Applies existing knowledge to data review tasks.

Identifies, collects, and tracks discrepancies in the reviewed data. Identifies trends and learns to propose corrective actions.

Utilizes the Toxicology Data Collection and Reporting System for review of electronic data.

Has the ability to understand and interpret complex protocols.

Responds to QA inspection report findings related to review of data.

Assess and document clinical observations, body weight data, food consumption data, environmental data, and other data on the appropriate data collection system (or by hand when necessary).

Assists with evaluation of test methods and can provide input on modifications to methods and assist with writing procedures.

Recognizes deviations from expected results and takes appropriate action.

Effectively schedules multiple assignments.

Random sampling review of 100% of selected study data to identify trends.

May assist and instruct less experienced staff.

May be involved in client tours or client interaction during study initiations.

May help in lab as needed to maintain skills and keep up with SOP changes.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Veterinary Technology
• 3 months or more experience using computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

• AALAS certification at Laboratory Animal Technician level
• 6 months or more experience working as a study technician

Additional Job Standards:

• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
