We have an excellent career opportunity for a Research Associate II - R&D to join our growing team in Durham, NC!

Position Summary
The Research Associate II is responsible for analyzing and critiquing results, noting deviations, and designing relevant experiments. They recommend alternative approaches and independently design and conduct critical experiments that further project goals. Implements and may innovate new experimental protocols. Performs complex tasks competently and independently. Coach and assist newcomers. Draft report contributions for supervisory review and may generate reports sufficient to be submitted as peer- reviewed publication.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Hands-on wet lab experience in a physical laboratory manipulating biological samples, chemicals, and other liquid substances to conduct experiments and analyze data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and efficient information exchange.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Liquid chromatography and/or mass spectrometry preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in R & D (or equivalent experience); or
  • Master of Science degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in R & D (or equivalent experience) preferred
