Research Associate I - Lab Automation

Labcorp is seeking a Research Associate I - Lab Automation to join our team in Burlington, NC!

Work Schedule: 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday (some flexibility with work hours following training period.)

Job Responsibilities:

The Research Associate I - Lab Automation will be part of the Research and Development team that supports automation efforts in robotic liquid handling and data analysis. In this role, you will use mass spectrometry and other analytical technologies, provide assay development and validation support and assist in training and orientation of personnel as assigned. On occasion perform wet lab experiments and extracting samples.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, computer science, physics, biochemistry, data science or biomedical.
  • 1 or more years of experience in laboratory R&D.
  • 1 or more years of experience with laboratory automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years of experience in a CLIA / GLP laboratory.
  • 1 or more years of experience with Hamilton or Tecan liquid handlers.
  • 1 or more years of experience with Python or R programming languages.
  • 1 or more years of experience with LC-MS.

Additional Job Standards

  • Proficiency in designing and integrating automated workflows.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
  • Works well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, excellence, and knowledge-sharing.

Pay Range: $65k-$75k annually (USD)

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
