MSc Internship - Metabolism

Labcorp is seeking a MSc Intern to join our team at Harrogate in North Yorkshire.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 37 hours

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct lab-based activities in accordance with the study protocol and the Labcorp standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Ensure good housekeeping including contamination monitoring, labelling as per requirements, recording and checking of raw data, general metrology, use of analytical procedures and handling of samples.
• Maintain a familiarity and competency with general laboratory procedures, including the use of balances, pipettes, volumetric glassware, pH meter, preparation of reagents and analytical standard solutions etc.
• Demonstrate a knowledge and use of appropriate data systems.
• Demonstrate good communication skills and effective liaison with Laboratory Staff, Study Directors, Study Co-ordinators and staff from other departments.
• Develops data for interpretation and review
• Reviews own work for overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment
• Individual has a responsibility to conduct all work in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, and specifically those regulations (GCP/GLP) specified in the study plans, protocols, or work agreements governing the work in which they are involved

• Currently studying an MSc in Biopharmaceutical Development

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to self-lead tasks to completion.
• Be able to work well in a team environment but also have the ability to work independently.
