Manager, Test Change Communications
Labcorp is seeking a Manager, Test Change Communications in Burlington, NC or Durham, NC.
Responsibilities:
Communication Strategy, Content Development & Governance:
- Own and govern the Test Change Commercial Brief process, defining standards for information completeness, quality, and downstream usability
- Determine communication strategy and own execution for all test changes
- Define and maintain an enterprise library of communication templates, best practices, and governance standards
- Lead strategic partner collaboration with Product Managers, Science, and Agile Delivery teams to develop external client communications, including:
- Client letters and service announcements
- Q&A documents
- Monthly Diagnostics Update newsletter content
- Develop and govern Sales Intel communications for internal audiences, ensuring clear, actionable content delivery via the Poppulo platform
- Act as the decision-maker for work prioritization and intake management within Workfront, balancing urgency, client impact, and business risk
- Ensure all communications meet editorial, regulatory, and legal compliance standards
- Ensure alignment of test change communications with overarching product strategy and other client-facing initiatives
- Represent test change communication strategy to sales leadership and executives, synthesizing complex information into clear insights and recommendations
Strategic Planning, Decision-Making & Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Serve as the primary liaison and strategic lead between Science & Technology, Discipline Directors, and Commercial Product & Marketing for all test change communications
- Lead through influence to create and manage a customer-centric test change calendar that balances client needs, sales readiness, and enterprise constraints
- Monitor, triage, and prioritize test change intake from multiple enterprise sources, exercising judgment to resolve conflicts and sequencing challenges
- Develop and maintain forward-looking test change calendars with 3-6 month visibility, proactively identifying risks and capacity constraints for sales leadership
- Assess test change impact levels and independently determine appropriate communication strategies based on clinical significance, revenue impact, and customer risk
- Drive cross-functional alignment across teams including NSE, Sales Operations, Corporate IT, Legal, Compliance, Revenue Cycle Management, and EDI
- Escalate risks, make recommendations, and guide executive decision-making related to high-impact or time-sensitive test changes

Analytics, Insights & Enterprise Impact:
- Request, analyze, and interpret utilization, test volume, and customer data to assess business, sales, and client impact
- Segment, manage, and distribute confidential utilization insights to appropriate divisional and segment leaders
- Partner with National Sales Enablement to inform prioritization decisions using data-driven insights
- Define and track test change communication effectiveness metrics, translating results into actionable improvements
- Identify enterprise trends and systemic gaps to inform communication strategy enhancements and operational efficiencies
- Stakeholder Leadership & Process Maturity
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with Discipline Directors, Product Managers, Sales Leadership, Field Activation, and enterprise partners
- Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for test change communications, advising stakeholders on best practices and risk mitigation
- Lead coordination of EDI Test Compendium requests and facilitate alignment between National and Divisional EDI teams
- Own governance and content organization for SMC Alliance Teams channels, ensuring accessibility and consistency
- Drive continuous improvement of the test change playbook, frameworks, and supporting processes
- Lead onboarding and training for new stakeholders and team members on test change communication protocols
- Gather and synthesize customer and stakeholder feedback to shape strategic enhancements to the test change experience

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Project Management or Life Sciences
- 3 or more years of progressive experience in healthcare marketing, product marketing, or clinical communications
- 3 or more years managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of experience managing regulatory and compliance requirements in healthcare communications
- 3 or more years of experience in the diagnostic laboratory or healthcare services
Additional Job Standards:
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with project management tools (Workfront)
- Strong working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and collaboration platforms
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) and marketing automation (Poppulo)
- Quick learner with ability to master new software and systems
- Data analysis skills with ability to interpret utilization reports and identify trends
- Advanced organizational and prioritization skills, with demonstrated ability to independently manage and sequence 15-20 concurrent, high-impact test change initiatives, balancing urgency, client impact, and enterprise risk
- Exceptional attention to detail and accountability for accuracy in high-stakes, regulated communications with clinical, financial, and customer implications
- Executive-ready written and verbal communication skills, with ability to synthesize complex clinical and operational information into clear, actionable messaging for diverse audiences, including senior leadership
- Strategic decision-making capability, balancing enterprise objectives with tactical execution; able to define communication approaches and adjust strategy based on business risk and client impact
- Proven stakeholder leadership and influence, including the ability to align and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Strong process governance and optimization mindset, with demonstrated ability to design, standardize, and continuously improve scalable enterprise workflows and communication frameworks

The Manager, Test Change Communications serves as the enterprise owner and strategic lead for commercial test change communications, independently defining, governing, and executing communication strategy across Labcorp's commercial organization. Operating with significant autonomy, this role leads the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of all test change communications-ensuring sales teams, leaders, and clients receive the right information at the right time to navigate new test launches, updates, and discontinuations.
Acting as the central orchestrator, the role partners with Product & Marketing, Science & Technology, Discipline Directors, Operations, Sales, and external vendors to deliver timely, accurate, compliant communications aligned to enterprise priorities. Thriving in a complex, matrixed environment, this position defines communication frameworks, establishes standards, and leads cross-functional stakeholders through influence, data, and governance rather than direct people management. The role exercises independent judgment in prioritizing competing enterprise needs and regularly makes strategic recommendations to sales leadership and executive partners based on data, client impact, and business risk.
Applicants will follow a hybrid schedule that includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
