Intern - Lab Assistant

Labcorp is seeking an Intern - Lab Assistant to join our team located in Tulsa, OK.

Work Schedule: June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026

Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 1:00pm-9:30pm

Location: The role is onsite in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
  • Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
  • Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
  • Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
  • Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
  • Replenish test bench supplies as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Bachelor's degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements

  • Interest in lab sciences
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures
  • Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts
  • Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
  • Have a genuine interest in laboratory science
  • Maintains professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Actively participates in training sessions and applies newly learned skills accordingly

Internship Details:

  • Duration: 11 weeks, full-time
  • Dates of Internship: June 1 - August 14, 2026
  • Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
  • Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (December 2026 through June 2028 graduation)

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
