Central Laboratory Services is part of a global contract research organization within LabCorp. We offer the world's largest network of central laboratories and support global clinical trials testing. A common set of processes, procedures, and instrumentation is offered throughout our sites in Europe, Asia/Pacific, and the United States, allowing us to receive samples globally and provide more than 700 assays across all laboratory science disciplines.
LabCorp is seeking a Director, Strategic Partnerships, to join our Central Labs Services team. In this position, you will lead a key strategic account across the drug development continuum within the Drug Development and Diagnostic groups.
The Director will act as the primary point of contact for one or more specific key and/or growth accounts across the drug development portfolio including associated operational guidance and infrastructure. You will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and expanding a coordinated and scalable relationship strategy while overseeing a delivery model that ensures alignment with partnership agreements, client need, and vision.
In this position you will assume accountability for the consistency and quality of the client portfolio delivery by directly supporting governance effectiveness and leading an effective issue escalation model across functions globally.
In addition, you will drive account expansion into new service lines by creating client advocacy, inspiring client teams, influencing both internal and external stakeholder engagement, connecting process, technical and scientific subject matter experts and ensuring the successful commitment to excellent portfolio delivery including contract terms.
When appropriate, the Director will lead through a highly committed team to develop and implement a holistic Strategic Partnership approach. This includes objective setting, coaching, and leading by example in accountability.
This is a remote opportunity and can be located anywhere in the US.
Essential Job Duties:
- Lead a key strategic account across the drug development continuum within the Drug Development and Diagnostic group
- Provide strategic partnership experience and drug development consultation for key and/or growth account with limited assistance
- Responsible for overall delivery and managing overall quality aspects of critical deliverables (KPIs, milestones, quality audits, rebates), operationalize MSA and associated initiatives/projects
- Initiate and/or maintain key interface with internal/external key stakeholders and senior executive teams based on client portfolio
- Co-lead new/or renewed partnerships or strategic deal approaches with Business Development including MSA negotiations and service offering messaging
- Identify business growth opportunities and ensure the seamless integration of current and new services
- Ensure consistent and quality delivery of the client portfolio by supporting governance effectiveness and leading an issue escalation model for Drug Development globally
- Lead and coach client team members toward a culture of accountability for dependable delivery and commitment to quality, science, innovation, and driving growth
- Establish communication pathways across the LabCorp continuum at all levels to voice the client needs and unlock opportunities for expansion
- Foster a culture of delivering continuous improvement, quality, and productivity from the clients' perspective
- Instill a culture of shared accountability for client P&L, contract terms, and operational delivery
- Lead the partnership executive level governance structure, messaging, escalation and communication pathways and documentation
- Lead Corporate initiatives as they relate to Drug Development partnership enablement and leverage the LabCorp continuum of services
- Lead and/or actively contribute to the Strategic Partnership team's development and coaching through initiatives or mentoring when appropriate

Minimum Required Experience:
- 10 years' relevant industry experience (CRO/Pharmaceutical); or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree - Life Sciences and/or Business Management required
Competencies:

- Successful track record of driving leadership teams to improve partnership decisions and outcomes

Travel:
- 10-20% global travel is required

Pay Range: 160-210K base
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
