■ Job Description
As a Technical Leader in the Mainframe Domain, this role is critical in supporting both internal and external infrastructure platforms. You will be expected to perform as a technical master, focusing on hardware upgrades, incident response, and proposal support centered around z/OS. This position offers a high degree of autonomy and specialization, allowing you to lead in areas such as troubleshooting, proposal development, and team development.

■ Responsibilities
1. Incident Response & Technical Support Leadership
- Lead and coordinate technical efforts during major incidents
Example: In the event of a production system failure, lead root cause analysis, impact assessment, and propose permanent solutions. - Resolve technical bottlenecks quickly
Example: Provide and implement solutions for performance degradation or latency issues that cannot be resolved on-site. - Conduct post-incident reviews and formulate recurrence prevention measures
Example: Host Post-Incident Reviews, extract lessons learned, and update standard procedures accordingly.

2. Proposal & Delivery Support Leadership
- Conduct technical reviews and formulate solutions during proposal phases
Example: During RFP responses, organize technical requirements and propose configurations considering cost and risk. - Participate in key projects as a technical advisor

3. Internal Skill Development & Talent Cultivation Leadership
- Plan and lead internal training sessions and study groups
Example: Regularly host sessions on the latest z/OS, Db2 features, and cloud integration. - Manage knowledge assets and internal documentation
Example: Systematize past incident cases, success stories, and technical materials for internal reuse. - Act as a mentor through buddy programs
Example: Provide OJT, code reviews, and career guidance for junior engineers.

4. Technology Strategy & External Collaboration Leadership
- Evaluate and promote adoption of new technologies
Example: Conduct PoCs for AI Ops, zCloud, Red Hat OpenShift, and develop internal rollout plans. - Establish technical escalation paths with external vendors
Example: Collaborate with IBM, Red Hat, AWS technical teams to secure pre-validation and escalation routes. - Attend global conferences and research technology trends
Example: Participate in Red Hat Summit / HPE Discover and share insights internally.

5. Cross-Organizational Standardization & Risk Management Leadership
- Operate company-wide technical review committees
Example: Consolidate technical support requests across projects, conduct standardization, risk evaluation, and approvals. - Lead Master/Buddy programs
Example: Collaborate with multiple SMEs to ensure knowledge transfer and prevent dependency on individuals. - Develop technical roadmaps and resource plans
Example: Plan staffing and skill development for upcoming OS upgrades and cloud migrations.

- Primarily remote work
- On-site attendance only when necessary (approx. 2-4 times/month) for system implementation, testing, data center operations, client meetings, training, or knowledge-sharing sessions.

Who You Are
■ Required (MUST)
- Native level of Japanese
- Over 10 years of experience in mainframe operations (e.g., z/OS)
- Hands-on experience with hardware upgrades and version updates
- Project experience across multiple client accounts

■ Preferred (WANT)
- Knowledge of z/OS and CPU architecture
- Business-level reading and writing skills in English
Note: Verbal English communication is not required, but internal and external documentation is primarily in English.
