The Role

As our Network Support Specialist, you'll be working in a complex, multi-vendor environment, and will use your analytical skills to identify and resolve network issues, make configuration changes, and implement security policies. This role requires someone who can think on their feet, test and apply corrective actions (including emergency changes), and participate in change reviews as needed. And with the ever-changing nature of technology, you'll be constantly learning and growing in your role.

You will work alongside a talented team of experts to plan and execute routine network changes, troubleshoot and solve network issues and outages, and maintain excellent communication with our end customers, project managers, and service engineers. You'll be responsible for maintaining network components, monitoring network performance, and maintaining network security. You will also be providing user support for network-related issues, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support possible.

We are looking for a Team Leader - Networking to join our team in Quito. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with proven leadership experience, who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about delivering high-quality network support and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a technical team providing specialized support in networking, IT systems, and wireless solutions. Acting as a technical reference and escalation point for complex troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Ensure the secure, efficient, and reliable operation of the network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate in solution design, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer installations and training.
  • Manage dashboards, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with service and performance standards.
  • Coordinate team schedules, manage overtime, participate in change advisory boards, and generate technical reports.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and deliver a high-quality technical support experience.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Networking.
  • Strong knowledge of troubleshooting, switching, and routing.
  • CCNP certification or equivalent technical expertise.
  • Experience with network security and WAN environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management.
  • More than 2 years of experience leading technical networking teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (intermediate level - B2/C1).
  • Strong organizational skills: team coordination, time management, and task prioritization.
  • Ability to handle complex problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and demanding client interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Systems, Telecommunications, or related fields.

Experience with: BGP/ Software Defined Networking (SDN) - Cisco ACI/ Firewalls - Checkpoint / Cisco Firepower/ Load Balancers - F5/ VMware NSX/ Automation tools - Ansible, Python.

Previous experience in telecommunications, banking, or IT consulting firms.
