The Role

Kyndryl is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with Romanian language skills and knowledge of Romanian Accounting to join our Statutory Accounting team in Bratislava.

In this role, you will primarily support the preparation, review, and delivery of statutory financial statements for Romanian entities, ensuring compliance with Romanian GAAP, local regulations, and corporate policies.

You will work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal finance stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant statutory reporting. This role requires solid technical accounting knowledge, fluency in Romanian, and the ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and functions.

The salary range starts at 2500EUR gross per month. The final salary offer reflects the set of skills and experience that selected candidates bring to the team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist on the preparation of statutory financial statements for Romanian entities in compliance with Romanian GAAP and corporate standards
Coordinate with external auditors, tax, and legal teams during Romanian statutory audits
Support the resolution of auditor comments and local regulatory queries in a timely manner
Ensure consistency and accuracy between Romanian statutory reporting and corporate reporting (e.g. local GAAP to US GAAP/IFRS bridge)
Collaborate with global and regional finance teams to gather, validate, and reconcile financial data
Maintain strong documentation and audit trail for statutory deliverables
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in statutory processes and tools
Assist in ad hoc statutory and compliance projects as needed

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Solid understanding of accounting principles and statutory financial statement preparation
Practical experience in Romanian statutory reporting, audit support, or financial accounting
Fluency in Romanian (written and spoken)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and geographies

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with external auditors (Big 4 exposure a plus)
