The Role
As a SQL Administration , you'll be the visionary behind our data platforms, crafting them into powerful tools for decision-makers. Your role? Ensuring a treasure trove of pristine, harmonized data is at everyone's fingertips.
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server instances and related tools.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions.
Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and testing.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
- 5-7 years of proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server versions (2016/2019/2022 preferred).
- Solid experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with backup and recovery strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of HA/DR configurations.
- Familiarity with SQL Server security and compliance best practices.
- Proficiency in T-SQL and scripting (PowerShell preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with monitoring tools (e.g., SQL Sentry, Redgate, SolarWinds, or native SQL tools).
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience working as a Data Engineer and/or in cloud modernization
- Experience in Data Modelling, to create conceptual model of how data is connected and how it will be used in business processes
- Professional certification, e.g., Open Certified Technical Specialist with Data Engineering Specialization
