The Role

The Space Planning Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and owning Kyndryl's global workspace standards to ensure consistency and alignment with corporate branding across all locations. This role partners closely with project managers and vendors to consult on architecture, branding, and fit-out requirements, creates high-level test-fit designs for new spaces, and acts as a subject matter expert for workspace standards and space optimization, supporting internal stakeholders and driving continuous improvement.

Additionally, the specialist coordinates with Space Management to update the space management platform, monitors adherence to standards, and maintains documentation, ensuring that evolving business needs and industry trends are reflected in workplace design and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and update global workspace standards for consistency and compliance.
  • Partner with project managers and vendors to consult on architecture and branding for fit-out projects.
  • Create high-level test-fit designs for new spaces and business approvals.
  • Coordinate with Space Management to enter new buildings and updates into the space management platform.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on space optimization and workplace design best practices.
  • Monitor adherence to workspace standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain documentation and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Who You Are

You are a proactive collaborator and subject matter expert in workspace standards and design, skilled in project management, stakeholder engagement, and able to influence and guide both internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience with AutoCAD for space planning and design.
  • Background in interior design, architecture, or facilities management.
  • Ability to perform test fits and space optimization for business needs.
  • Experience integrating CAD drawings into space or room reservation systems.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve space booking or conference room issues.
  • Understanding of workplace standards and process improvement.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Degree in interior design, architecture, or engineering.
  • Experience with global, multi-location projects.
  • Familiarity with space management tools (e.g., Eptura or similar platforms).
