The Role

What You'll Really Be Doing

Your role focuses on three core responsibilities:

1. Architect Enterprise‑Grade ServiceNow Solutions

You will own the end‑to‑end solution architecture across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, CSM, ITAM/SAM, CMDB/CSDM, App Engine, and related domains.

You'll define:

• Target‑state architectures
• Platform and security standards
• Integration and data models
• Scalable, upgrade‑safe design patterns

Your decisions will directly impact platform health, long‑term maintainability, and business outcomes.

2. Lead Technical Direction and Delivery

You won't just design-you'll lead the technical direction.

You'll:

• Run solutioning and fit‑gap workshops
• Translate business needs into architectural designs and stories
• Guide teams on configuration vs. customization
• Review designs and ensure quality, governance, and best practices

You act as the architecture authority, ensuring delivery teams build the right solution the right way.

3. Own Integration, Data, and CMDB Strategy

You'll architect and govern enterprise integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and event‑driven patterns, connecting ServiceNow with critical third‑party systems.

You'll also lead data and CMDB strategy, including:

• CSDM‑aligned data models
• Asset‑to‑CI relationships
• Discovery, service mapping, and dependency modeling

This ensures ServiceNow becomes a single source of truth, not just another tool.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of ServiceNow experience, including senior technical or solution architecture roles in enterprise environments.
• Strong architectural expertise across core ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, CSM, ITAM/SAM, CMDB/CSDM, and App Engine.
• Proven experience designing enterprise‑scale, upgrade‑safe ServiceNow solutions, including platform governance, security/ACL models, and architectural standards.
• Hands‑on integration experience using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and third‑party system integrations.
• Strong data and CMDB foundation, including CSDM alignment, CI modeling, and service/asset relationships.
• Ability to act as an architecture authority, influencing technical teams and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, and CIS (ITSM, CSM, HAM/SAM).
• ITIL v3 and/or ITIL v4 certification.
• Experience with App Engine Studio, Flow Designer, Process Automation Designer (PAD), and Virtual Agent/NLU.
• Background delivering solutions in large enterprise or regulated industries (e.g., Telecom, Pharma, Insurance, Media).
• Cloud or platform modernization exposure, including IBM ecosystems or legacy platform transformations.
