The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic ServiceNow Solution Architect to lead the design of enhancements and new features within Kyndryl's enterprise ServiceNow platform (ITSM, SPM, ITOM, ITAM, CSM, IRM, App Engine, Automation Engine. HRSD is in platform but out of scope for this role).
In this role, you'll serve as the Solution Architect for the CIO platform team, working closely with CIO leadership to guide technical solutioning, manage delivery resources, and ensure platform initiatives align with Kyndryl's strategic priorities. You'll also ensure all solutions are reviewed by the appropriate architectural boards (TDA/ARB) and comply with CIO SOX controls.

As a senior technical member of the CIO platform team, you'll act as mentor, advisor, and hands-on architect-uplifting platform knowledge, documenting architectural standards, and driving best practices across the enterprise.
This is a high-impact opportunity to shape and deliver enterprise-wide digital services that improve how Kyndryl works internally, today and into the future.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Product Ownership
- Translate business requirements into scalable, innovative ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.
- Act as trusted advisor to stakeholders for ServiceNow capabilities, features, and enhancements.
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Serve as solution architect and technical lead for ServiceNow projects.
- Oversee configuration, integration, and development activities, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards, data privacy, and security.
- Ensure all designs pass through architectural review boards (TDA/ARB) and meet SOX control requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for solution designs, integration patterns, testing guidelines, and platform standards.
Team & Delivery Oversight
- Lead and mentor project teams of developers, BAs, and testers.
- Drive agile sprint planning and execution across a platform-wide program of work.
- Ensure QA, performance testing, and change control processes are embedded.
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the liaison between stakeholders and the CIO ServiceNow team.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide ServiceNow governance, design reviews, and platform health initiatives.
- Educate and mentor colleagues to strengthen platform knowledge across the CIO function.
Who You Are
You're a skilled architect with deep ServiceNow expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence senior IT stakeholders. You bring a unique mix of hands-on platform knowledge, architectural governance, and product ownership that enables you to deliver scalable solutions in a complex, global environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of ServiceNow platform experience, including at least 3 years in solution architecture and/or product ownership roles.
- Certified ServiceNow System Administrator (required).
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions in a global environment.
- Strong understanding of agile delivery practices and cross-functional team leadership.
- Hands-on experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Service Portal, and Scoped Applications.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across IT stakeholders.
- Experience managing 4-6 direct reports.
Desirable Certifications
- Certified Implementation Specialist - e.g., ITSM, ITAM, ITOM (highly desirable).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (preferred).
- Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or progressing towards CTA (preferred).
- Agile/SAFe certifications (e.g., Scrum Product Owner) a plus.
- Experience with Agentic AI tools (e.g., Moveworks, Aisera) is a distinct advantage.
