Senior Project Manager
Who We Are
At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward - always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.
The Role
Kyndryl Project Managers oversee the delivery of major projects within scope, schedule, and budget. You are the driving force behind every aspect of program success, harmonizing the efforts of all stakeholders like a "conductor" creating beautiful music. As the single point of contact for the client, you embody Kyndryl's reputation every day.
As a Project Manager, you manage highly detailed and busy schedules. You will create detailed project plans, manage teams, lead meetings and status checks, plan activities, and run regular sessions. You analyze and mitigate risks, manage finances, ensure the team has the necessary skills, plan and delegate tasks, meet deadlines, achieve SLAs (Service Level Agreements), and deliver results that satisfy the client.
Of course, plans often change as projects progress. That's why continuous structured thinking is essential-going beyond scheduling to take responsibility for delivering value.
Just as planning and organizational skills are critical, communication accounts for 90% of the job. You are the single point of contact for clients, partners, and all stakeholders, supporting them and ensuring they get what they need. You also act as a bridge between all teams involved in the project, such as technical and sales teams.
As a result, you will work in an exciting multicultural and multilingual environment. In short, we seek someone who enjoys interacting with people, is kind and empathetic, yet assertive. It's important to respond to client change requests politely and diplomatically.
This role offers opportunities to meet many people, build networks, and deepen relationships. Under Kyndryl's "One Team with the Customer" philosophy, you will build strong partnerships with clients. Depending on the project, you may work on-site at the client's location, which increases your visibility and creates opportunities to deliver even more value through relationships.
This is one reason Kyndryl employees find this role attractive. It's an excellent opportunity to refine service and interpersonal skills and provides a foundation for career growth both horizontally and vertically.
Your Future at Kyndryl
Becoming a Project Manager at Kyndryl is an excellent gateway to diverse career paths. You can build a balanced skill set while earning professional certifications and qualifications. You may branch into other technical or non-technical areas, such as Technical Services Architect, or aim for promotion to Senior Project Manager or Program Manager. The PM role offers many specializations, so everyone can find the opportunity that suits them best.
Who You Are
You are highly skilled in your work and possess sufficient experience to demonstrate it. However, equally important is having a growth mindset and the willingness to actively pursue both personal and professional development. You are customer-oriented and always prioritize the success of the client in your work. Finally, we expect you to have an open and borderless mindset, naturally embracing collaboration with others.
