SAP SuccessFactors Functional Analyst - AMS Application Support

The Role
The SAP SuccessFactors Consultant is responsible for providing functional support, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of one or more modules within the SuccessFactors platform (such as Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Learning, Compensation, among others). The role involves functional analysis, incident resolution, configuration adjustments, HR integration review, data validation, key‑user support, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives within the AMS model.
The consultant also participates in SIT/UAT testing cycles, coordinates with technical and functional teams, supports change governance processes, prepares functional documentation, and contributes to post‑release stabilization, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and IT standards.
Requirement
1) Incident and Request Management (AMS)
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve functional incidents within the assigned SuccessFactors modules.
- Handle business requests by assessing functional impact and proposing configurations aligned with SAP best practices.
- Validate master data, end‑to‑end processes, and configured business rules.
- Manage tickets according to established priority, impact, and SLA guidelines.
2) Functional Configuration and Module Maintenance
- Adjust configurations within SuccessFactors modules in alignment with HR processes and operational requirements.
- Manage rules, workflows, permissions, roles, templates, picklists, and MetaData Framework (MDF) objects.
- Review recurring processes such as new hires, employee movements, payroll‑related steps (when applicable), performance cycles, and learning assignments.
- Validate proper data synchronization between Employee Central (EC) and other modules.
3) Integrations and Data Flow Management
- Review integrations with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP CPI, or external systems (AD, local payroll solutions, portals, etc.).
- Validate payloads, data formats, mappings, and scheduled transmissions.
- Collaborate with technical teams when integration adjustments are required.
4) Testing, Releases, and Stabilization
- Participate in SIT and UAT functional testing to validate configurations, processes, and integrations.
- Perform regression validations to ensure changes do not impact existing processes.
- Provide support during releases, quarterly SuccessFactors updates, and stabilization periods.

5) Documentation and Operational Compliance
- Maintain up‑to‑date functional documentation, including configurations, process flows, manuals, evidence, and permission matrices.
- Record recurring solutions, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with change management, security policies, and AMS governance processes.
6) Continuous Improvement
- Propose adjustments to optimize HR processes, configurations, and system rules.
- Identify opportunities for automation or process standardization.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, internal audits, and quarterly SuccessFactors releases.
Who You Are
Required Technical and Functional Knowledge
SuccessFactors (one or more modules):
- Employee Central (EC)
- Recruiting Management / Recruiting Marketing
- Onboarding 1.0 / Onboarding 2.0
- Performance & Goals (PM/GM)
- Compensation / Variable Pay
- Learning Management System (LMS)
Configuration and Tools:
- Administration of roles, permissions, and Role-Based Permissions (RBP).
- Configuration and management of Business Rules.
- Workflow configuration and approval process management.
- MDF - MetaData Framework object creation and maintenance.
- Template configuration for Performance, Recruiting, Compensation, and other modules.
- Data Models (as applicable to each module).
- Job Scheduler and Integration Center (preferred).
Integrations:
- Experience with SAP CPI, Integration Center, and OData/APIs (preferred).
- Validation of information flows between SuccessFactors and SAP ERP/S/4HANA.
Preferred Additional Knowledge:
- General understanding of Human Resources processes.
- Experience in implementations, rollouts, or post‑go‑live support.

- Strong analytical and functional diagnostic capabilities.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and detailed documentation skills.

Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Administration, or a related field.
- SuccessFactors module certifications (preferred).
- ITIL certification (preferred).
Experience
- +5 years of experience with SuccessFactors within an AMS or functional support model.
- Demonstrable experience in configuring and supporting one or more modules.
- Participation in implementation, stabilization, or migration projects (preferred).
- Experience in organizations with high‑volume HR processes (preferred).
Work Model
- Availability for maintenance windows or after‑hours support when required.
