The Role

Lead the end-to-end data transformation workstream in S/4HANA migration projects (brownfield or selective data transition).
Design the data migration strategy, including scoping, mapping, transformation logic, data harmonization, data standardization, data cleansing rules and consistency criteria.

Analyze simplification impacts on data structures (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP) and define the required adjustments before conversion activities.
Work hands-on with SAP tools and frameworks, including:
SAP Migration Cockpit (Direct Transfer and Staging Table approaches)
S/4HANA Conversion Pre-checks and SUM/DMO logs
SAP LT tools, BAPIs, IDocs and custom data load frameworks
SLT or SDI/SDQ pipelines when relevant
ABAP development knowledge
Aptitude for learning Kyndryl's data transformation tools.
Define, implement and optimize transformation logic for master data and transactional datasets, ensuring alignment with ACDOCA, BP, New GL, New Asset Accounting, MRP and supply chain structures.
Lead execution of mock migrations, troubleshoot inconsistencies, perform reconciliation procedures, and propose corrective actions across functional and technical workstreams.
Collaborate with functional teams FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, and Security to validate transformation rules and cross-module dependencies.
Prepare technical documentation: field mappings, validation rules, load sequencing, reconciliation methodology and cutover plans.
Support go-live and hypercare, addressing issues related to data integrity, performance and missing/inconsistent migrated datasets.

Technical Requirements

Knowledge of HANA Database administration, monitoring, backup strategies, performance optimization, and high availability concepts.
Deep knowledge of SUM/DMO, Maintenance Planner, Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM), SAPCAR, SAP Notes corrections, SPAM/SAINT, and Kernel operations.
Practical understanding of S/4HANA architecture:
Simplification items
Data model changes
CDS Views, embedded analytics activation
Fiori and Gateway
New integration patterns
Experience with cloud hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern SAP landscapes (RAP, BTP, Integration Suite).
Knowledge of system sizing, quick sizers, capacity planning, and performance baselines.

Certifications (Preferred)
SAP Certified Technology Specialist - SAP S/4HANA Conversion & System Upgrade (highly valued)
SAP Basis or System Administration certifications
Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are a strong differentiator
SAP Activate methodology (nice to have)

Soft Skills
Methodical mindset, strong investigative instinct, and ability to untangle complex technical issues.
Clear communication, skilled in explaining technical risks to functional teams and executives.
High sense of ownership, autonomy, and structured problem-solving.
Ability to coordinate cross-functional technical teams during critical-path activities like migration weekends.
