The Role
Are you passionate about security architecture and driven to protect against the latest threats? We are seeking a Security Architect who will join our team and take the lead on developing, implementing, and maintaining our security strategy within our Service Provider organization.
We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery (DR), and Resiliency to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive strategies that ensure organizational resilience and regulatory compliance. As a key advisor to senior leadership, you will be responsible for aligning resiliency programs with industry standards and regulatory frameworks, while proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies across the enterprise.

You will conduct risk assessments and threat modeling to identify and prioritize risks to our business and IT assets, using your extensive experience in security architecture design and implementation within a Service Provider environment to create a cutting-edge security architecture framework. You will also work to maintain policies, standards, and guidelines related to information security within our organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and technologies such as encryption, authentication, and authorization solutions.
Your role will also involve conducting security reviews of vendors and third-party partners to ensure they meet our rigorous security standards, as well as performing regular security and risk reviews of our Service Provider environment to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation activities.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory obligations.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement best-in-class resiliency frameworks and tools.
- Conduct detailed Business Impact Analyses (BIA), Risk Assessments, and Recovery Capability Evaluations.
- Develop and maintain Business Continuity and DR plans, procedures, playbooks, and testing schedules.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards including FFIEC, FINRA, GDPR, DORA, ISO 22301, and NIST.
- Partner with key stakeholders across IT, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Business Units to embed resiliency principles across the enterprise.
- Coordinate and lead DR testing exercises and incident response simulations, and document findings for continuous improvement.
- Provide expert guidance during business disruptions and real-world incidents.
- Deliver training and awareness programs on business continuity and resilience to cross-functional teams.
- Stay abreast of emerging regulations, threat landscapes, and industry best practices.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Organizational Resilience within large, regulated environments.
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk frameworks (e.g., FFIEC, DORA, NIST SP 800-34, ISO 22301).
- Demonstrated experience in leading business continuity and DR planning efforts, including documentation, testing, and governance.
- Experience with enterprise risk management and third-party/vendor risk as it relates to business continuity.
- Proven ability to collaborate across diverse technical and business teams to implement complex resiliency programs.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
- Relevant industry certifications such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional), MBCI (Member of the Business Continuity Institute), or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer.
- Experience working in financial services, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Continuity, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related field.
