The Role
The SAP Functional Analyst joins the Application Management Services (AMS) team with the objective of ensuring operational continuity, functional stability, and the proper execution of business processes related to the SAP MM and SAP CPI modules. The role focuses on providing specialized support for incidents, requests, minor enhancements, and functional maintenance activities that ensure efficient system operation and compliance with corporate IT and business standards.
1. Incident and Request Management within the AMS Environment
- Analyze and resolve functional incidents related to SAP MM, including procurement processes, sourcing, materials management, inventory handling, goods receipts, and logistical movements.
- Address requests and troubleshoot issues in SAP CPI, ensuring proper execution of integrations, correct operation of flows, mappings, connectors, queues, adapters, and the accurate transfer of data between SAP and external systems.
- Verify the correct flow of information between SAP and external platforms, identifying deviations and coordinating the necessary corrective actions.
- Manage tickets in accordance with established service standards for priority, impact, and response times.
2. Functional Analysis and Process Validation
- Review functional configurations in the MM and CPI modules, ensuring alignment with organizational processes related to procurement, internal logistics, and integration flows.
- Validate data integrity, correct execution of functional logic in purchasing and materials processes, and compliance with business rules within integrations managed through CPI.
- Document findings, deviations, and applied solutions to ensure traceability and operational consistency.
3. Technical Coordination within the SAP Ecosystem
- Collaborate with technical teams and ABAP developers to manage functional adjustments or corrections resulting from incidents.
- Coordinate actions with integration administrators, infrastructure teams, and other SAP modules when cross‑dependencies exist between MM, CPI, and additional system components.
- Follow up on activities derived from technical‑functional analysis to ensure their effective closure.
4. Documentation and Operational Compliance
- Maintain updated functional documentation, including solutions, configurations, operating procedures, and support evidence.
- Prepare information and supporting materials required for internal audits, system changes, or IT reviews.
5. Support for Testing, Changes, and Releases
- Participate in functional testing (SIT/UAT) to validate changes, fixes, or new functionalities related to SAP MM and SAP CPI.
- Validate functional deliverables and coordinate activities related to deployments into productive environments.
- Provide support during post‑release stabilization.
6. Continuous Improvement within the AMS Service
- Identify opportunities to optimize functional processes, integration flows, and configurations related to MM and CPI.
- Propose improvements that enhance stability, efficiency, or traceability within the SAP landscape.
Who You Are
Required Knowledge and Skills
Functional and Technical Knowledge
- Experience with SAP MM, including monitoring and analysis of procurement processes, inventory management, material master data, sourcing, and internal logistics.
- Experience with SAP CPI, including monitoring of integrations, error analysis, mappings, connectors, adapters, and information exchange flows between SAP and external systems.
- Knowledge of integrations between SAP and external platforms.
- Ability to interpret logs, error messages, and data structures.
- Desirable: basic knowledge of SQL for data analysis and familiarity with ITIL methodologies applied to AMS.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience providing SAP functional support within an AMS model.
- Demonstrable experience in SAP MM and SAP CPI.
- Knowledge of operational and logistical processes associated with the MM module.
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience working with SAP modules
- Basic English proficiency.
