The Role

We are looking for a skilled Integration Middleware Specialist with strong experience in administration, support, and management of enterprise integration platforms. The role involves ensuring availability, performance, and stability of integration systems built on IBM technologies and event-driven platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on administration experience along with working knowledge of API routing, service proxy configurations, and integration development concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Administration & Support, Administer and manage: IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) runtime environments, IBM API Connect platform (gateways, catalogs),Apache Kafka clusters,IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) runtime,Installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching,Environment setup across Dev / QA / UAT / Prod,Ensure platform availability, stability, and SLA compliance
  • API Gateway & Service Proxy Management:Configure and maintain:API proxies / service proxies / routing rules,Manage API lifecycle in IBM API Connect:Publish, version, secure, and monitor APIs
  • Implement: Routing policies, Security controls (OAuth, API Keys, JWT),Traffic management (rate limiting, throttling)
  • Messaging & Event Streaming (Kafka), Administer Kafka environments:Topic creation, partitioning, replication,Consumer group management,Monitor and troubleshoot:Event streaming pipelines,Producer/consumer performanceEnsure high availability and fault tolerance
  • ACE & ITX Support:ACE message flows and deployments (BAR files),Integration servers and execution groups, ITX maps and runtime executions,Data transformation issues,Message failures and routing errors
  • Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Incident Management: L2/L3 support and root cause analysis (RCA),Monitor integration platforms using enterprise tools,Handle production incidents and critical outages,Maintain logs, alerts, and proactive monitoring strategies
  • Performance & Capacity Management:Performance tuning across ACE, API Connect, Kafka, Capacity planning and system optimization, Identify and resolve: Bottlenecks, Throughput and latency issues
  • Security & Compliance: Implement: Secure communication (SSL/TLS),Authentication and authorization mechanisms,Ensure adherence to enterprise security and compliance standards
  • Automation & DevOps Support automation using, Shell / Python scripting, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git),Assist in:Automated deployments, Environment standardization
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Enterprise architects, Application teams, Infrastructure and DevOps teams, Provide technical guidance and mentorship and Participate in solutioning, estimations, and client discussions

Required Technical and Professional Experience

  • 5 to 7+ years of database developer experience in banking or BFSI domain
  • Required Skills on Core TechnologiesStrong administration experience in: IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise),IBM API Connect,Apache Kafka,IBM Transformation Extender (ITX)
  • Integration & API ManagementExperience in:API Proxy / Service Proxy / Routing configuration,API Gateway administration,Understanding of: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML
  • Administration & Support Expertise,Proven experience in:Middleware platform support,Production troubleshooting,Performance tuning and monitoring
  • Additional Skills (Good to Have)Exposure to:Docker / Kubernetes / OpenShift, Monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace),Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / IBM Cloud)
  • Behavioral Skills- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,Ability to work in production-critical environments,Good communication and coordination skills,Proactive and operations-focused mindset

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Bachelore's/Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Certifications in IBM ACE / API Connect / Integration
  • Experience in enterprise-scale transformation programs
  • Exposure to regulated domains especially in Banking domain is preferred
