The Role

As a Software Engineering - Developer at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. Your work will play a critical role in our business offering, your code will deliver value to our customers faster than ever before, and your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical in ensuring the success of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and resolve complex production incidents, performing deep Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing preventive actions
  • Provide L2/L3 support for mission-critical banking platforms (Core Banking, Treasury, Payments)
  • Lead incident triage and resolution for high-severity events, including on-call responsibilities
  • Drive automation of operational tasks to reduce manual effort and recurring incidents
  • Coordinate releases, deployments, and environment readiness using CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Git, XL Release )
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve system resilience and reliability
  • Produce RCA reports, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks aligned with audit and compliance requirements
  • Mentor junior engineers and act as a technical escalation point for L1/L2 teams
  • Monitor application and infrastructure health using Dynatrace ,Prometheus etc.
  • Ability to Work across Infrastructure + Applications + Devops teams
  • Support Production Operations ,deployment and automation

Required Technical and Professional Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of experience as Operatios Engineer with strong hands on IT Operations
  • Familiarity with Banking operations like accounts, payments, cards, digital channels etc.,
  • Understanding of customer journeys and process flows across banking services
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and testing practices
  • Basic knowledge of application support, incident/problem management, and process improvement
  • Exposure to data analysis and documentation practices
  • Strong analytical, impact analysis and problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborative team player with effective communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with focus on quality execution
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Expertise in scripting and automation (Python, Shell, PowerShell)
  • Strong knowledge in Azure /AWS Cloud Platforms
  • Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, XL Deploy & Release)
  • Experience with middleware and integration patterns (MQ, APIs, batch systems)
  • Knowledge of observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, ELK Stack )
  • Exposure to container platforms (OpenShift / Kubernetes)
  • Strong grounding in ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change)
  • Srong skills on IAC Tools (Ansible/Terraform)
  • Strong Linux/Unix and Windows administration
  • Exposure to Batch Job Monitoring ( Tivoli work scheduler / Batch scheduling Tools)
  • Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams
  • Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance
  • Maintain documentation, dashboards, and monitoring alerts

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Banking / BFSi preferred
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science / IT / Engineering
