The Role
- Architect and implement full-stack observability platforms encompassing metrics, logs, traces, synthetic monitoring, RUM, and business telemetry using Elastic, Dynatrace , New Relic, Datadog and AppDynamics.
- Define and enforce observability standards and instrumentation guidelines across microservices, APIs, front-end, and legacy systems in hybrid cloud environments.
- Lead OpenTelemetry adoption for vendor-neutral, portable observability solutions.
- Integrate observability into CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and progressive delivery with engineering and DevOps teams.
- Collaborate with platform, cloud, and security teams to ensure end-to-end visibility across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises systems.
- Conduct root cause analyses, incident reviews, and reliability engineering to reduce MTTR and improve MTBF.
- Evaluate and implement new observability tools aligned with enterprise architecture and scalability requirements.
- Provide technical mentorship and promote observability best practices to foster a data-driven culture.
- Drive observability governance and maturity models ensuring compliance with SLAs and customer experience goals.
Who You Are
Required Technical and Professional Experience :-
- 8-10 years of overall IT industry experience with a strong focus on Observability and monitoring solutions.
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing observability solutions using the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats) or equivalent
- Experience in building and optimizing data ingestion pipelines, index lifecycle management, and cluster operations for high availability and performance.
- Strong delivery management skills with experience in leading technical teams, managing client expectations, and driving solution delivery end-to-end.
- Hands-on knowledge of dashboards, visualization, alerting, and anomaly detection for business service and application monitoring.
- Ability to collaborate across functions (developers, infra teams, security) to ensure successful integration of observability into enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business observability needs into technical solutions.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience :-
- Experience with other observability platforms such as Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo.
- Familiarity with APM solutions like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic.
- Exposure to cloud-native observability on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of automation, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices in integrating observability into modern delivery pipelines.
- Prior experience in mentoring teams, defining observability standards, and building best practices across programs.
- Relevant certifications such as Elastic Certified Engineer or certifications in Grafana/Dynatrace are desirable.
