IT Operations Improvement Project Leader (ITIL-Based)

The Role

You will lead projects to enhance IT operations across both cloud and on-premises environments. In this key role, you will improve operational quality and reduce risk by standardizing and automating ITIL-based event management processes.

Your Responsibilities

  • You design and standardize event management processes based on ITIL, strengthening integration with ITSM processes.
  • You analyze operational issues and propose improvement plans.
  • You promote automation of alert handling to improve response speed and prevent human error.
  • You optimize alert settings and notification rules using monitoring data.
  • You identify operational challenges in the Japanese market and develop improvement plans.
  • You collaborate with global teams to drive operational excellence.

Location

  • Tokyo 23 wards or Kanto region.
  • You can work remotely (2-3 days per week in office; location may vary by project).

Working Conditions

  • Your working hours: 9:00-17:36 (7.6 hours per day, 1-hour break).
  • Bonus: twice a year (June and December).

Who You Are

What You Need

  • 5+ years of experience in designing/improving ITSM/ITIL-based operational processes (ITIL certification preferred).
  • Experience in defining, standardizing, and implementing event management processes.
  • Design and implementation of monitoring/APM tools (e.g., Zabbix, Datadog, Netcool, Splunk, New Relic).
  • Integration design and implementation with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Architecture design and implementation of operational management platforms.
  • Alert operation design and implementation.

Preferred Experience

  • Large-scale operations (cloud or on-premises).
  • Hands-on experience improving operational quality (KPI setting, PDCA).
  • Familiarity with latest operational technologies (Runbook Automation, AIOps).
  • Experience building and operating data platforms.
  • Delivery experience in large-scale projects (finance, insurance, etc.).
