Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward - always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

The DevOps Engineer role at Kyndryl exists to bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring that applications and infrastructure are delivered faster, more securely, and with higher reliability. This is not just about automation-it's about enabling business agility and customer success through modern engineering practices.

Key Dimensions of the Role Purpose

Accelerate Delivery

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows to reduce manual steps and shorten release cycles.
  • Drive continuous integration and deployment so teams can deliver features quickly without sacrificing quality.

Embed Security and Compliance

  • Integrate DevSecOps controls (image scanning, policy enforcement, vulnerability checks) into every stage of the pipeline.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and Kyndryl's governance frameworks, especially for regulated environments.

Enable Resilience and Observability

  • Design systems that are self-healing, scalable, and observable.
  • Use monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki) to maintain uptime and meet SLOs.

Champion Automation and Infrastructure as Code

  • Replace manual processes with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) for repeatability and disaster recovery.
  • Promote automation-first principles across the organization.

Support Kyndryl's Strategic Initiatives

  • Align with Kyndryl Bridge by providing visibility and governance across DevOps pipelines.
  • Contribute to cultural transformation by fostering Agile, collaborative, and automation-driven practices.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Act as a connector between developers, architects, SREs, and security teams.
  • Ensure that delivery pipelines and platforms meet both technical and business requirements.

Who You Are

A DevOps Engineer is a well-rounded IT professional with strong knowledge across both development and operations. The role focuses on automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and operating containerized workloads. DevOps Engineers embed into the application delivery lifecycle, combining system administration, cloud architecture, and modern developer practices (source control, code reviews, unit testing, Agile).

Key responsabilities for position

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or Tekton to improve build, test, and release automation.
  • Operate Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms: manage application deployments, cluster resources (Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Namespaces), and enforce security policies (RBAC, Network Policies).
  • Apply GitOps practices (declarative infrastructure/application management) and manage automated deployments and state sync with ArgoCD.
  • Automate infrastructure using Terraform and/or Ansible, adopting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for repeatability and resilience.
  • Implement observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK/Loki stacks; build alerting and dashboards for availability, performance and reliability.
  • Embed DevSecOps controls in pipelines (image scanning, policy checks, supply‑chain validations) and enforce secure configurations across platforms.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with application development, SRE, and platform engineering teams to improve delivery speed, quality, and stability using Agile and continuous improvement practices.
