The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: As Country Finance Lead UK&I, which is a primary P&L for Kyndryl, we are organised by country markets. All business, growth and EBIT profit decisions are primarily driven by the Country leadership. UK&I is one of our top 3 Country P&Ls with $1-1.5BN top line size.
- Top Focus: To drive profitable growth for the UK&I as a co-pilot with the Country President to drive the go-to-market business functions, domestic and global delivery teams and enterprise support functions to meet business growth and profit objectives.
- Financial rigour: Own financial metrics, drive business performance reviews and develop models to support strategic initiatives. Provide world-class financial planning and analysis to deliver forward- looking financial insights that inform fast, data-driven decisions. Build and drive business to meet annual financial budgets and long-term strategic plans.
- Risk Management & Governance: Ensure compliance and internal controls, mitigate financial risks, and lead audit readiness with regulators including SOX controls.
- Stakeholder Management and Effective Communication: Collaborate with the UKI leadership team and global functional leadership to drive UK&I business metrics. Own both management and statutory financial books with strong relationships with Global finance and accounting teams. Collaborate with key partners and represent Kyndryl UK&I in external forums and industry groups.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and continue to develop the UK & Ireland financial organisation. Build a high-performing, lean and future-ready team focused on excellence, agility, accountability and collaboration. Actively mentor and grow the next generation of finance leaders.
- Impact on the Business: The Country Finance Lead UK&I will be instrumental in:
- Driving profitable growth by driving deals and signing pipeline while ensuring the cost model is aligned to meet gross and EBIT margins
- Commercial Acumen to drive UK&I pipeline with innovative commercial models and pricing to win and deliver high margin deals
- Strengthening financial risk and governance and ensuring transparency in financial operations.
- Enhancing stakeholder confidence, both internally and externally, through clear communication and strategic insight.
This is a high-impact leadership role that requires a blend of strategic vision, operational rigour, and cultural fluency. The successful candidate will be a strong financial steward who can drive business growth with commercial acumen, while ensuring effective cost delivery models and profitability.

You will adeptly navigate uncertainty and lead others through complex scenarios with integrity and transparency, always prioritising the organisation's interests. You will translate strategic objectives into practical actions, cultivate robust relationships through emotional intelligence and clear communication, and demonstrate a strong ability to identify and develop key talent.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Advanced degree such as an MBA, Master's in Finance, or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) preferred.
- Commercial and Pricing acumen, FP&A, strategic business partnership, and building a top talent team for the future.
- Demonstrated background in driving pipeline, revenue growth and operational margin expansion.
- Minimum of 15 years progressive finance leadership experience, including significant exposure to senior management roles within large, complex, multinational organisations.
- Demonstrated success as a CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent senior finance executive, preferably within the IT services, technology, or related sectors.
- Deep understanding of the UK&I's business environment, financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
- Proven track record overseeing all core finance functions, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, budgeting, treasury, audit, tax, risk management and compliance.
- Experience managing large-scale transformation projects, such as mergers & acquisitions, organisational restructuring, system implementations, and process automation.
- Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and the ability to balance long-term vision with day-to-day operational execution.
- High degree of resilience and adaptability, capable of thriving in ambiguity and change.
- Unquestionable integrity, professionalism, and ethical judgment.
