The Role

Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure - good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally "figuring it out." This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain IBM Sterling File Gateway and Connect Direct. for secure and efficient file transfer between systems.
  • Provide Escalated Production Support for our existing client (inlcudes Rotational On-call)
  • Design and maintain Business policies and routing templates within SFG
  • Troubleshoot File Transfer issues between Business partners and provide Incident fixes.
  • Ensure compliance with Security Policies, that includes Fix pack upgrades, version upgrades through planned changes
  • Work with other Infrastructure teams and Application support teams and should be able to lead, during a Major Incident call.
  • Particiapte in Change advisory boards to present changes and work with problem management team for reactive / proactive problem management.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

  • Primary Skills - IBM Sterling File Gateway, B2B integrator, Connect Direct
  • Minimum Experience - Atleast 7-8 years of core experience (in the primary skill). Should have worked with external clients, as part of the core experience.
  • Experience with SFG/CD/IBM Control center architecture, configuration, and administration.
  • Level 3 support : SFG and Connect direct Setup, Analysis and configuration
  • Knowledge of file transfer protocols: Familiarity with FTP, SFTP, AS2, and other protocols used in file transfer.
  • Security expertise: Understanding of PKI, certificate management, and other security technologies.
  • Red hat Linux experience: Comfortable with Linux command line and common Unix commands.
  • Scripting skills: Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Perl, or Python for automation and process improvement.
  • BPML/GPM: Experience with BPML or GPM for developing and managing business processes.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Knowledge of SQL (IBM DB2 queries) for database interaction.
  • Cloud technologies: Experience with Azure cloud, particularly for migrating SFG to the cloud.
  • Mainframe Connect Direct knowledge.
  • Communication and collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SFG.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement.
