The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Associate Director to join Kyndryl's General Auditor Organization (GAO) and drive the execution of our talent-led, AI-powered strategy across all four GAO towers: Financial & Operational Audits, IT & Cybersecurity Audits, Business Controls, and SOX Compliance.

This role will focus on leveraging Internal Audit, Internal Controls, and IT knowledge and experiences to build and develop GenAI, AI workflows and agentic AI solutions to enhance audit, controls, and compliance processes under the General Auditor Organization. The candidate should also have experience in AI governance and developing use cases for Internal Audit, Information Technology, Internal Controls, SOX compliance and Enterprisement Risk Management.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Lead strategic initiatives integrating automation, analytics, GenAI, AI workflows and agentic AI across all GAO towers
  • Identify, design, and deliver high-impact use cases for AI workflows and agents
  • Oversee end-to-end use case development: idea generation, feasibility analysis, solutioning, impact assessment, and prioritization
  • Develop AI agents for tasks such as controls testing, risk monitoring, audit planning, and evidence collection
  • Ensure AI solutions are scalable, robust, and aligned with enterprise priorities
  • Embed governance, observability, and fault tolerance in all AI-powered initiatives.
  • Collaborate across the GAO towers and with business, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure effective deployment and adoption
  • Mentor and train team members on automation, analytics, GenAI, AI workflow and agentic AI
  • Communicate program status, technology adoption, and strategic outcomes to leadership

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

1. Core Audit & Control Expertise

  • Solid experience in Internal Audit, Information Technoloy, Internal Controls,SOX compliance and Enterprise Risk Management and experience managing global programs and leading diverse teams

2. AI & Technology Skills

  • Hands-on experience in:
    • Automation (RPA, workflow orchestration)
    • Analytics (data modeling, dashboards, predictive risk analysis)
    • GenAI (natural language-driven automation, AI-assisted reporting)
    • AI workflows (designing structured sequences of AI-driven tasks)
    • Agentic AI (building autonomous AI agents for audit and risk tasks)
  • Ability to design and deploy end-to-end AI-powered solutions, not just conceptualize.
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools like Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot, Azure AI Agents, ServiceNow, and Python scripting

3. AI Governance & Compliance

  • Working knowledge of AI governance frameworks
  • Experience embedding policy-driven orchestration, observability, and fault tolerance in AI systems
  • Ability to ensure responsible AI principles (fairness, transparency, accountability, privacy, security)

4. Leadership & Strategic Skills

  • Proven ability to drive change and innovation in dynamic environments
  • Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
  • Capability to mentor teams on AI adoption and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with cloud platforms, data engineering, and AI/ML technologies.

Required Education

Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics or Business Administration.

Preferred Education

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Risk Management.

Travel

Less than 25% travel may be required
