Asset Management Lead

You'll be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify the technical and timeline risks up front. This means dealing with both client expectations and internal challenges - in other words, there are plenty of opportunities to make a difference, and a lot of people will witness your contributions. • Act as the hands-on operational SME for enterprise Asset Management and CMDB
• Execute and support end-to-end asset lifecycle activities (intake, deployment, updates, audits, retirement)
• Maintain and govern ServiceNow CMDB data quality, relationships, and class models
• Ensure alignment with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) standards and best practices
• Perform data normalization, reconciliation, and remediation for asset and CI records
• Support and operate ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM)processes
• Partner with Discovery, Service Mapping, and integration teams to ensure accurate CI population
• Perform routine audits, data validations, and compliance checks on CMDB and asset data
• Troubleshoot asset and CI discrepancies and drive root-cause remediation
• Produce operational reports and dashboards for asset accuracy, compliance, and lifecycle status
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and financial reconciliation efforts

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), CMDB operations, or related roles
• Proven experience working operationally as an Asset Management or CMDB SME
• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Asset Management, HAM, or SAM modules
• Deep understanding of CSDM, CI class structures, and CI relationship modeling
• Experience with data quality management, normalization, and reconciliation
• Familiarity with Discovery, integrations, and data ingestion sources feeding the CMDB
• Strong troubleshooting skills for asset/CI data issues and discrepancies
• Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, finance, procurement, and platform teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in large, regulated, or audit-driven enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, or ITOM Visibility
• Knowledge of software licensing and entitlement management (SAM)
• Experience supporting hardware inventory, lifecycle tracking, and disposal processes
• Familiarity with ITIL and CMDB governance frameworks
• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CIS - CMDB, or Asset/SAM-related certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience
