TRANSPORTATION/NETWORK ANALYST

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:
The Transportation Network Analyst must drive to achieve planned levels of costs against operational effectiveness of key performance indicators (KPIs). Role model and demonstrate the company's leadership model behaviors and the core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    Essential Job Functions:
    • Develop and maintain delivery schedules to support the company's Customer 1st business strategy.
    • Day to day routing and "running the board" as needed, combining products and destinations for efficient deliveries.
    • Development and completion of operational improvement projects as assigned.
    • Creates reports and analytical tools, utilizing available systems, to proactively seek new approaches to support our business needs.
    • Works collaboratively with the operations, transportation, procurement and division teams to create and monitor the flow of product from ordering to delivery.
    • Accommodates store requests for special deliveries.
    • Ensure timely and relevant communication to maintain an open/honest working environment.
    • Support operating systems training: TR, CAMS, WIN, DG2, People Net, Trans view and others as needed.
    • Must be able to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.


QUALIFICATIONS

    Desired Previous Job Experience
    • 2 years in previous position.
    • Fluency in CRYSTAL reports, Microsoft ACCESS and ODBC connections a plus.
    • Knowledge of DMV rules and regulations.
    • Knowledge of Company transportation systems and store locations a plus.
    Minimum Position Qualifications:
    • 4 year Bachelor's degree in Logistics; or 2 years' experience in transportation, dispatch or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to make critical decisions to provide optimum routing solutions in a high paced environment.
    • Possess a good understanding of transportation concepts and Company objectives.
    • Attention to detail / well organized.
    • Knowledge of personal computer operation and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Ability to work a 5/10 work week in Compton, California; varied hours and varied days.
    • May be required to complete skills and ability testing.
