SR COE GOVERNANCE & BENEFITS MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Set direction to govern data activities, drive compliance to laws and policies and oversee sourcing performance management, reporting, solutions implementation, training, and policies & procedures roll-out. Support managers and HR in defining required skills and competencies for each role, developing training program and tools to develop these skills and by providing training and coaching to associates. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Procurement Governance
- Drive continuous improvement, compliance to sourcing policy and procedures across Kroger organization
- Create, review, and communicate changes to procurement policy and new compliance responsibilities to the organization, aligned with internal business partners' requirements
- Design and oversee implementation plan of sourcing policies & procedures, monitor the compliance, and conduct trainings where necessary
- Oversee risk analysis and review proposed actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Contract & Compliance Management
- Strive to reduce overall risk for Kroger through management of compliance in all functions of the team
- Identify non-compliance situations, identify resolutions and act timely to resolve them with internal business partners
- Capabilities Building
- Collaborate with HR in defining roles, responsibilities, career path, competencies, training & recruiting

- Oversee core procurement training plan and knowledge sharing methodology
- Sourcing Process
- Develop, deepen and maintain collaborative relationships with business partners and stakeholders to ensure the organization is seen as a valued partner and appropriately involved in business decisions
- Work with business partners and leaders of category management, SRM and sourcing operations to set and monitor sourcing performance
- Talent Management
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties: complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
- Collaborate with HR on planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of the team
- Additional Support
- Maintain knowledge of other initiatives in Kroger that may affect the CoE performance and operations
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree Business, Information Management, Operations, Retail, CPG, or similar
- 10+ years of leadership experience in a procurement organization
- 3+ years of governance and compliance work with proven experience developing and implementing policies and procedures
- Ability to synthesize analysis into compelling verbal and written communications and presentations
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Vizio)
- Highly collaborative individual, who has proven ability to work cross functionally and build strategic and mutually beneficial relationships at all levels of the organization
- Strong understanding of use of data as well as data management and data governance
Desired
- Master's Degree
- 3+ years of experience in data management, clearly exposed and performing tasks within different data governance aspects (quality, standards, reference data)
