Organizational Design Leader
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for playing a critical role in shaping the structure and operating model within our large, dynamic retail organization. This strategic leader partners with executives and HR business partners to design and implement organizational frameworks that enable agility, scalability, and performance across all business units. Responsible for driving enterprise-wide initiatives and ensures that the company's structure aligns with its strategic goals, enhances customer experience, and supports talent development. Leverages data-driven insights, change management expertise, and deep knowledge of retail operations to optimize workforce capabilities, streamline decision-making, and foster a culture of accountability and innovation. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and implementation of organizational structures that support business transformation, growth, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with executive leadership to assess current state, identify gaps, and develop future-state organizational models.
- Design and optimize organizational design standards in collaboration with HR business partners and leaders, leveraging influential leadership, to identify capability gaps and workforce planning needs that support a cohesive talent strategy.
- Translate high-level business strategy into practical and scalable organizational structures across diverse business functions that have different needs and priorities.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Strategy teams to ensure organizational design is aligned with talent strategy and financial goals.
- Develop and apply frameworks for role clarity, spans and layers, governance, and decision rights.
- Lead the development of cohesive organizational design tools that support org design standards that maximize effectiveness and minimize silos. Partner to ensure organizational design supports culture and engagement.
- Manage stakeholder alignment, mitigate conflict and find common ground to implement best solutions for the Company.
- Champion change management and communication strategies to support adoption and sustainability of new structures. Navigate cultural resistance and create space for innovative structural change with high adoption rates.
- Support operating model integration, restructuring, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Travel up to 20% as needed.
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
- Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in human resources, change management, organizational design or workforce planning
- Strong understanding of organizational design strategies and change management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive accountability across teams
Desired
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial/organizational psychology or related field
- HR Certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or PHR
- Any project management experience
