OPERATIONS/LABOR MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Execute the company standards and initiatives to effectively utilize labor, and labor tools (ELMS/Scheduling) in stores. Develop and achieve division budgets, goals, and strategies/action plans for implementation of company/division labor and scheduling initiatives. Responsible for the integrity, usage, communication, functionality, training and the implementation of all enterprise labor system tools. Work collaboratively with division management to manage labor costs within the division budget. Recognize and lead all store/district teams to understand how labor and scheduling impacts the achievement of key operational metrics. Coach and train all aspects of labor and labor tools to division/district/store teams. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for budgets and results of Financial Page 5NF lines for total store associate costs; utilize financial tools to analyze results, and make recommendations for improvements while coaching/training district/store teams to achieve labor goals
- Work with Labor Forecasting Center of Excellence to deliver accurate weekly sales and labor forecasts, by store, to achieve all promotional objectives and business plan budget
- Provide analysis of Labor results, identify specific opportunities, recommend solutions while coaching and training district/store teams to achieve expected labor goals

- Understand and manage all division scheduling inputs/outputs to include headcount, scheduler roles, forecasted/scheduled/worked hours and all end user functionality
- Understand contractual bargaining language and how it impacts scheduling
- Conduct store visits with focus on labor best practices and scheduling
- Work closely with senior leadership in corporate and division settings
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
- Any store leader or retail store management experience, or comparable experience
- Any experience in training complex systems and critical thinking skills
- Strong knowledge of labor management principles to include labor expense and scheduling
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Ability to engage in new areas and facilitate change across the enterprise
- Highly organized and proficient at multi-tasking
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency and ability to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Business Objects, EssBase, etc.
- Ability to collaborate and work with and through various committees
- Demonstrate initiative and leadership skills
- Creative and alert to new ways of approaching tasks and processes

- Any district Operations coordinator/field specialist experience
