JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

The Division Murray's and Specialty Cheese Field Specialist responsible for directing the related stores in the complete operation of the Murray's Specialty Cheese. This position embodies the food passion, cheese knowledge, interactive customer service, operations, leadership, and industry leading merchandising that is Murray's and Specialty Cheese. The Position will be responsible for ensuring that the Murray's Brand is well represented and this person will work closely with the Murray's Team, Cheese Masters, Cheese Stewards, Store Management, Service Deli Merchandising Representative and Division Service Deli / Bakery Management. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate / liaison re-models and/or building of all Division Murray's Cheese Shops.
  • Facilities liaison. Data integrity liaison. Opening orders. Recruitment and selection.
  • Complete two week training program in a Kroger Murray's division.
  • Complete Murray's Opening and Business Building training.
  • Achieve certification Murray's Basic Skills, Red Jacket Training within 6 months of division opening.
  • Schedule and manage training of Murray's Cheese.
  • Assist Cheese Shops drive sales through unique Murray's experience: education, service, effective cross selling, merchandising, pushing and promoting products. Proper ordering, merchandising, paperwork and product handling.
  • Conduct store inspections; work with associates to correct violations.
  • Labor scheduling. Enterprise health, safety and food sanitation guidelines for products.
  • Data integrity liaison with Division Service Deli Management. Labor scheduling, Enterprise health, safety and food sanitation guidelines.

  • Manage Store project teams to achieve monthly sales/customer engagement objectives.
  • Marketing, advertising and events development and management.
  • Conduct competitive price checks on a weekly basis. Monthly recommendations on new items/discontinued items
  • Ensure new items, and retail changes are implemented per Division policy.
  • Responsible for weekly communication sales, hours and consumer data to Murray's staff.
  • Maintain a high level communication with Division Merchandising Team, Store Team, District Management and Murray's Team. Participate in weekly conference call with Specialty Cheese Buyer/Murray's Cheese, monthly conference call with Specialty Cheese Buyer, Cheese Distributor, and Murray's Cheese.
  • Oversee store associates in management of inventory: proper ordering, minimal out of stocks, spoilage control.
  • Oversee timely implementation of promotions.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful experience as a Co-Manager
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 Years Culinary Arts or Cheese Experience
  • Comparable position/experience
  • 3 Years Culinary Arts, Service Deli / Bakery, Specialty Cheese or Store Management Experience.
  • Computer Skills- Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to learn and work with multiple systems including Fresh Insights, RF Guns.
  • Strong Leadership Skills, Training Skills, Passion for Food, Self-motivated, minimal supervision.
  • Excellent Communication skills-ability to communicate to all levels on the organization. Analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Willing to travel for up to 2 consecutive weeks for various training classes.
