CORP FINANCE/SR CAPITAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

JOB DESCRIPTION
Partner with department leaders to assist in understanding the financial impact of complex capital investment decisions. Responsible for gathering, summarizing, and analyzing the data necessary to perform these analyses. Effectively communicate results to the key decision makers. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review Real Estate, Kroger Technology, Retail Operations, Merchandising, Supply chain, Manufacturing and other key department capital investments
- Present findings and make recommendations to senior management with clarity and confidence
- Lead the preparation of capital investment write ups and various analyses to support decision making
- Perform financial analyses on complex business initiatives by collecting and validating data from internal systems for reporting trends and insights
- Develop and perform training for business managers to help with financial acumen
- Support the business as financial lead with enterprise teams including Supermarket Divisions, Accounting groups, Capital Management, Audit, specialty divisions and other Operational Finance teams

QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of finance, accounting, quantitative or similar relevant experience
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Hyperion Essbase
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of cash flow analysis
DESIRED
- Master's Degree in business administration or CPA license, or in the process of obtaining degree or certification
- 3+ years of finance, accounting, quantitative or similar relevant analysis experience
- Any retail or related industry experience
- Proficient in Kroger systems including Oracle ERP, KCMS, Essbase, Business Objects
