Associate Experience Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for leading the development and execution of enterprise-wide strategies that elevate the associate experience across the Kroger organization. Drives the creation, implementation, and adoption of programs that foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment. Champions continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and impactful communication to enhance engagement, retention, and overall workplace satisfaction through partnership with internal stakeholders and associate feedback. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and execute strategic initiatives that align the associate experience with Kroger's business goals and Associate Experience strategy, translating vision into tangible outcomes.
  • Design and lead programs that promote associate recognition, support well-being, and promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.
  • Collaborate with Associate Experience leadership teams to assess engagement levels and implement improvement plans that drive measurable results.
  • Partner with Associate Research teams to facilitate feedback loops through surveys, focus groups, and listening sessions, ensuring that associate voices inform the associate experience strategy.
  • Partner cross-functionally with corporate functions to enhance the holistic associate experience in stores, sites, and offices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in experience design and partner across Associate Experience to scale experience design as a core leadership capability
  • Manage high-impact projects that improve the associate experience across retail, business units and corporate functions.
  • Travel up to 25% to associate-based sites (division offices, distribution centers, etc.)
  • Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
  • Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
  • Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
  • 3+ years of experience in employee engagement, human resources, or operations within a retail or service-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive accountability across teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent follow-up and follow through skills
  • Independent decision-making abilities

Desired
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience with survey tools, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Any experience in a Kroger Division or Retail Operations role
  • Familiarity with grocery retail operations.
