Academy Trainer
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for delivering high-impact leadership development and training experiences across the organization, including executive-level sessions and frontline programs. Serve as a trusted facilitator and subject matter expert, ensuring all Pearl Street Academy offerings meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness. Partner with Academy Managers and senior leaders to align training with business priorities, measure outcomes, and continuously improve learning experiences. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a master facilitator for Pearl Street Academy courses and experiences for diverse audiences across stores, plants, distribution centers, and offices.
- Collaborate with Academy Managers to align training delivery with business needs and Academy standards.
- Deliver associate-specific, high-impact training to drive engagement and build organizational capability.
- Assist in collecting statistical data, metrics, etc. for administrative/quality improvement purposes as related to training activities.
- Support the development and certification of fellow trainers, maintaining high standards and consistency.
- Champion inclusive learning practices and ensure accessibility for all associates.
- Track and report on training effectiveness, sharing insights with Academy Managers and the Leader, Pearl Street Academy.
- Provide input/consultation on Academy training programs.
- Assist in analyzing existing/potential programs for effectiveness, return on investment (ROI) that accelerates the associate and customer experience.
- Travel up to 50% to field locations and business sites.
- Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- 2+ years of experience in training, facilitation, or leadership development.
- Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with leaders at all levels, aligning development initiatives with strategic business priorities.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Ability to prioritize/effectively handle multiple projects within fixed timeframes
- High degree of organizational savvy; comfort working with all levels of the organization
Desired
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR, Education, Business, or related field.
- Certification in facilitation or instructional design.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS).
- Advanced knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
