Opportunity
The Associate Material Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of SOURCE product deliveries (SCOR S1.1) and MAKE production activities (SCOR M1.1) for assigned materials. The goal is to achieve optimal service levels for end customers while minimizing inventory costs. This role requires strong supplier relationship management to drive continuous improvements in delivery, quality, and cost.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule product deliveries and production activities to meet customer demand efficiently.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enhance performance in delivery, quality, and cost.
- Prepare and maintain key departmental metrics and reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Utilize ERP systems, MRP, and Pull systems effectively.
- Understand and manage system set points and their impact on planning.
- Plan for both component and assembly processes within the manufacturing environment
Skills/Requirements
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in business or Operations Management (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in materials planning and scheduling within a manufacturing or purchasing environment (required).
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and KanBan methodologies (required).
- Demonstrated skills in continuous improvement, mathematics, problem-solving, and organization.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (required).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
