Position Overview
The Accounting Systems Analyst will serve as the primary administrator and domain expert for the company's billing systems. This role is responsible for ensuring system accuracy, supporting business operations, and partnering with multi-functional interested parties. The analyst will lead user administration, system configuration, and process improvements, enabling the organization to achieve operational and financial goals while maintaining compliance with internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
User Administration & System Support
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions for billing systems in alignment with internal control policies.
- Implement segregation of duties and conduct regular reviews of user access to safeguard financial systems.
- Provide end-user support and training to ensure proper system usage.

System Configuration & Maintenance
- Configure and maintain transaction codes within the billing systems.
- Perform periodic updates of rates assigned to transaction codes, including twice-annual rate pushes and ad hoc updates as needed.
- Lead new center setup processes in the system.
- Implement closing center procedures, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Financial Controls & Compliance
- Support the design and monitoring of financial system controls to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for all system changes and configurations.
- Assist with audits by preparing system access reports, configuration documentation, and reconciliations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with collaborators in Operations, Finance, New Center Growth, and Acquisitions to ensure system processes align with business needs.
- Participate in integration activities for new acquisitions and expansions.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors on system improvements and issue resolution.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Find opportunities to strengthen internal controls and streamline workflows.
- Maintain process documentation, including configuration guides, control procedures, and training materials.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting systems, billing systems administration, or financial systems analysis.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, billing processes, and financial internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise billing, ERP, or accounting systems.
- Proficiency in system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with large data sets.
Core Proficiencies
- Analytical approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Superb communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse partners.
- Meticulous with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or acquisitions.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance, access controls, and other financial governance standards.
- Understanding of processes for leading transitions and guidelines for documentation.
