About the Role:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at KeepTruckin will be responsible for the mechanical design, development and quality of products. You will be responsible for solving technical challenges in order to meet product objectives. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver on product scope. You will identify and implement technical investigations, prototype and test solutions. You will design, validate and deliver a product with exceptional customer experience.
You will show hands on experience and ability to communicate effectively. You will demonstrate creative problem solving, experience with systems integration, and strong knowledge of mechanical systems, process and materials. You should be able to follow an iterative design process and be able to quickly pivot and integrate any changes throughout the product life cycle. You will also show the commitment to support multiple projects at same time.
What You’ll Do:
- Use technical expertise for problem solving
- Deliver detailed part and system design and documentation
- Apply technical expertise to resolve design issues
- Complete failure analysis and validate solutions during product development
- Complete field failure analysis and validate solutions for production issues
- Lead mechanical design discussions among internal and external cross functional teams
- Manage schedules and milestones
- Research into materials and mechanical systems
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of experience in electromechanical design
- 7+ years of experience in product validation (Shock/Drop, Cycle testing, Environmental testing)
- 7+ years’ experience with 3D CAD skills, ProEngineer
- Knowledge of tooling and material process validation (SPC, Cp, CpK)
- Analytical problem solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar
- Plus : Experience with waterproofing design and mount design
