About the Role:

The GL Accountant will be a key member of the Finance team and will report directly to the Accounting Manager. The Finance team is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate financial reporting.

What You'll Do:

  • Work on various accounting related tasks including cash reconciliations, prepaid expenses, and month end accruals
  • Prepare and post GL journal entries
  • Participate on the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Assist with ongoing account reconciliation and specific projects ensuring that general ledger accounts are resolved and reconciled
  • Help with account coding reclasses and identify underlying issues
  • Work closely with the Senior Accountants and Accounting Manager to prepare monthly flux analysis for management review
  • Respond to auditor requests in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively across departmental functions, providing actionable insights to help drive optimal business decisions
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects
  • Preparation of weekly cash report

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of total experience in a corporate environment, public accounting a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
  • Previous experience working with external auditors
  • Netsuite, Coupa, Expensify experience a plus and intermediate level excel skills
  • Must be proactive, organized, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Always curious and always learning
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with team members
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent field
