About the Role:
The GL Accountant will be a key member of the Finance team and will report directly to the Accounting Manager. The Finance team is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate financial reporting.
What You'll Do:
- Work on various accounting related tasks including cash reconciliations, prepaid expenses, and month end accruals
- Prepare and post GL journal entries
- Participate on the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Assist with ongoing account reconciliation and specific projects ensuring that general ledger accounts are resolved and reconciled
- Help with account coding reclasses and identify underlying issues
- Work closely with the Senior Accountants and Accounting Manager to prepare monthly flux analysis for management review
- Respond to auditor requests in a timely manner
- Work collaboratively across departmental functions, providing actionable insights to help drive optimal business decisions
- Assist with ad-hoc projects
- Preparation of weekly cash report
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of total experience in a corporate environment, public accounting a plus
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Previous experience working with external auditors
- Netsuite, Coupa, Expensify experience a plus and intermediate level excel skills
- Must be proactive, organized, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Always curious and always learning
- Ability to establish strong relationships with team members
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent field
