Wholesale Lending Services - Executive Director - Buenos Aires
Wholesale Lending Services (WLS), part of Digital & Platform Services (D&PS), delivers end-to-end operational support for syndicated and bilateral loans to wholesale clients from the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB), Consumer & Community Bank (CCB), and Asset & Wealth Management (AWM).
The support covers the whole lifecycle of the loan, starting with the pre-closing activities (prepare credit proposal and loan documents, and coordinate the activities for the closing), closing (ensure loan terms are documented and adequately setup in the system for booking and funding activities), and finally the servicing (manage the events through the life of the loan including collateral monitoring and loan trading support).
Currently present in over 30 locations, WLS is planning an expansion into Buenos Aires and is looking for an inspiring leader that can drive the execution of this strategic initiative. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing high-performance teams in complex operational environments, while maintaining strong partnerships with global operational teams and LOBs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Buildout of the footprint for the WLS product support in Buenos Aires ensuring seamless alignment with global functional partners and stakeholders.
- Think and act strategically to execute the business strategy, with the flexibility to adjust to new regulations, innovations and priorities.
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to enhance services, systems, and procedures, planning for long-term growth.
- Set and communicate the strategic direction for the team, aligning goals with business priorities and the global target model.
- Attract, develop and retain high quality talent, and establish a culture of strong performance management.
- Create a strong employee engagement culture, promoting inclusivity, professional development, and high performance, using data to drive the attainment of goals and standards.
- Create an effective control environment within the team and build partnerships with key control stakeholders through communication and governance.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for the team in Buenos Aires to anticipate challenges, resolve roadblocks and ensure seamless operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience required, with a minimum of 10 years in operations and/or management roles ; wholesale loan operations experience a plus
- Track record of hiring in mass and managing geographically dispersed teams while motivating, providing vision, creativity, presence, and credibility.
- Ability to lead, challenge and adapt to changing business landscapes
- Internal Stakeholder Management - Establishes productive working relationships with internal stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial outcomes; Communicates clearly and often with internal stakeholders, keeping them involved and informed on relevant actions and impacts; Ability to modify approach based on understanding of stakeholder needs and preferences.
- Decision Making - Ability to make subjective and informed choices based upon output, influence stakeholders and justify strategic direction in a pragmatic and balanced way
- Experience in leading change for significant organizational initiatives
- Problem Solving Skills - Solid critical thinking, attention to detail and diagnostic skills; Able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions
