Vice President Sourcing

Job summary
As a Vice President within the Sourcing & Procurement team, you will be responsible to lead end‑to‑end sourcing execution, and elevate commercial outcomes across the deal lifecycle. You will drive supplier due diligence, demand challenge, techno‑commercial evaluation, and contract/commercial negotiations under firm risk frameworks-culminating in successful approvals, execution, and supplier onboarding. You will also lead a team of sourcing professionals, oversee the sourcing book of work, and develop talent through coaching on negotiation tactics, contractual coverage, and market‑intelligence best practices. The ideal candidate brings deep business services sourcing expertise, strong analytics and project management skills, and a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across global teams.
Job responsibilities
- Lead category strategy and planning, using data analysis, market intelligence, and benchmarking to set direction and measure performance.
- Own category management deliverables (analytics, spend insights, TPO inputs, and market assessments) to inform robust sourcing roadmaps.
- Lead end‑to‑end sourcing for significant transactions from scoping and due diligence through competitive events and supplier selection.
- Perform techno‑commercial evaluations to identify best overall value and drive informed recommendations for stakeholders.
- Drive contract and commercial negotiations, securing improved MSA/SLA terms and savings realized to the P&L.
- Navigate approvals and execute contracts in alignment with Legal, Risk/Third‑Party Oversight, Finance, and procurement policies.
- Ensure compliance with ADA, Secondary Data Use Restrictions, and purchasing channel adherence across sourcing activities.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across lines of business to align on demand, rationalize vendors, and ensure channel compliance.
- Monitor vendor performance and SLA adherence, coordinating with internal partners to resolve issues and optimize outcomes.
- Manage risk within firm frameworks while leveraging global buying power and coordinating with global category leads.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of sourcing professionals; oversee the sourcing book of work and drive continuous improvement.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) in business, supply chain, finance, or a related field.
- 100+ years managing third‑party providers, category/commodity spend, and complex sourcing programs.
- Extensive business services sourcing across global and regional providers with deep contracting/procurement expertise; experience in Banking & Financial Services and regulated environments.
- Advanced analytics and financial modeling (TCO, value streams, cost drivers) with a proven record leading techno‑commercial evaluations, competitive events, and supplier due diligence at scale.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially advanced Excel) and Ariba or similar e‑sourcing/procurement platforms.
- Strong negotiation capability delivering measurable savings and improved commercial/contractual terms.
- Expertise in legal contracts and SLA frameworks, including interpreting clauses, managing contractual risks, and improving contracting practices.
- Strong program/project management: planning, execution, remediation plans, and timely stakeholder updates; ability to multitask and deliver complex deals on deadline with high customer service.
- Ability to influence and guide executive‑level stakeholders; excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and relationship management skills.
- Leadership in vendor rationalization and channel compliance; familiarity with Third‑Party Oversight, Risk, and Compliance requirements (including ADA and Secondary Data Use Restrictions).
- People leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and building high‑performing teams.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Advanced degree or specialized education (e.g., MBA) in supply chain, finance, or strategic sourcing; professional certifications such as CPSM or CIPS.
- Proven leadership of multi‑region/global sourcing initiatives with close collaboration alongside global category leads.
- Demonstrated commercial impact delivering savings realized to the P&L and optimizing EPD‑enabled spend.
- Deep expertise in market intelligence and benchmarking to inform category strategies and negotiations, with a track record of improving MSA/SLA structures and contracting practices across complex vendor portfolios.
