Vice President - Product Strategy Marketing Lead - Brand, Media, and Advertising Strategy

Job Summary:
Slate, a family of credit cards that focus on creating financial value for customers through low introductory rates or access to credit, is looking for a highly experienced and motivated candidate who will create and implement a new vision for the Slate brand including talent, messaging, positioning, and placement in the credit card marketplace. As a Product Marketing Strategy Lead in the Marketing Team, you will partner to deliver that strategy across Centers of Excellence to build and manage branding, creative, media, and go-to-market strategy for Slate and Slate Edge credit card products. You translate long-term vision into actionable plans, lead integrated campaigns, and deliver recommendations based on insights and performance. You are a self-starter with substantial experience to leverage in building and executing a plan for Slate. You will collaborate with internal and external partners, manage budgets, and ensure campaigns meet business objectives and compliance standards. You will be held accountable for driving results including increases in Slate's awareness, consideration, and ownership metrics, digital impressions across owned, earned, and paid channels, conversion across display, programmatic, and social channels, and brand health metrics for Slate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain understanding of master-brand purpose, strategy, and creative standards
- Champion creative design excellence across all customer touchpoints
- Translate business goals into actionable creative and media briefs
- Lead brand visioning and positioning strategy for Slate branded cards
- Develop and deploy integrated advertising and media strategies
- Partner with research teams to uncover consumer insights and test creative ideas
- Plan, analyze, and assess integrated communications with media partners
- Track, monitor, and optimize campaign KPIs and performance
- Support production and implementation of advertising across all channels
- Ensure compliance, risk, and control requirements are met for all campaigns
- Manage creative and media budgets, mitigate risks, and adhere to controls
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Self-starter with 7+ years in marketing, brand strategy, or advertising execution
- Strong business and marketing acumen with ability to link strategies to campaigns
- Experience with omni-channel campaign planning and execution
- Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven work ethic in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to lead and influence cross-functional teams
- Experience creating and delivering executive-level presentations
- Understanding of video and digital creative production and execution
- Experience working for or with advertising agencies
- Experience in consumer brand-focused organizations
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills
- Bachelor's degree required
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience managing creative and media budgets
- Familiarity with compliance and risk management in marketing
- Experience with omni-channel campaign planning and execution
- Ability to negotiate with senior agency partners and platform reps
- Experience leading cross-functional steering committees
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Master's degree (business, marketing) strongly preferred
