Vice President, FIG Payments Sales & Relationship Management - Financial Institutions & Government, Peru
As a Sales Vice President within the J.P. Morgan Payments team, you will lead sales strategy and relationship management activities for Financial Institutions (FI) and Government clients in Peru, as part of the broader Andean, Central America and Caribbean (ACAC) region. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, deepening client relationships, and positioning J.P. Morgan as the premier payments partner for this strategic client segment.
You will play a critical leadership role in developing and executing go-to-market strategies, building a robust pipeline, and delivering sophisticated treasury and payment solutions that address the unique needs of FI and Government clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep market knowledge, strong executive presence, and a proven track record in complex, consultative sales.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Lead the development and execution of sales strategy for Financial Institutions and Government clients in Peru, aligned with regional ACAC priorities
- Build and manage a robust pipeline to achieve ambitious revenue and new business sales goals
- Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities within under-penetrated FI and Government segments
- Drive strategic account planning and sophisticated selling strategies tailored to the regulatory, operational, and strategic needs of FI and Government clients
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as a senior relationship manager and trusted advisor to C-suite executives and senior decision-makers within Financial Institutions and Government entities
- Understand clients' business goals, regulatory environments, digital transformation strategies, and industry trends to identify opportunities for J.P. Morgan Payments solutions
- Manage high-touch client engagement through strategic visitations, executive forums, and thought leadership discussions
- Position J.P. Morgan's innovation agenda, including digital payments, real-time payments, blockchain/digital assets, and API-enabled solutions
Collaboration & Cross-Sell
- Partner closely with CIB bankers, Treasury Services colleagues, and product specialists across the ACAC region to deliver integrated solutions
- Collaborate with global FI and Government coverage teams to leverage best practices and coordinate multinational client strategies
- Generate cross-sell opportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other J.P. Morgan lines of business (Markets, Securities Services, Investment Banking)
- Provide market intelligence and client feedback to product managers and regional leadership to inform product development and market strategy
Solutions & Consultative Selling
- Deliver comprehensive treasury and payment solutions including: correspondent banking, liquidity management, cash management, FX, trade finance, check clearing, cross-border payments, and digital channels
- Assure compliance with sanctions screening, AML/KYC requirements, and risk management frameworks
- Lead complex, multi-product deal structuring and negotiations
Market & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent J.P. Morgan Payments at industry conferences and client events in Peru and the ACAC region
- Contribute to regional strategy discussions and share insights on market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience & Expertise
- 5+ years of experience in payments, cash management, treasury services, or correspondent banking, with a focus on Financial Institutions and/or Government clients
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Understanding of the Peruvian financial services landscape, including regulatory environment, payment systems infrastructure, and key market participants
- Strong knowledge of treasury services, payments, FX, trade finance, correspondent banking, and digital payment solutions
- Strong relationship, creative solutioning and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal, written communication and time management skills
- Understanding of Compliance and KYC processes
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness
